Description

River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis)

Capturing the grace, strength, and raw energy of a horse in full dynamic motion, Dancing Horse is a captivating abstract sculpture defined by its fluid, sweeping curves. Hand-carved from local South Coast Forest Red Gum, the piece follows the wild, non-straight grain and sweeping dark veins of the timber to create an uplifting, weightless silhouette.

The wood boasts a rich, warm finish that emphasizes its intricate grain patterns, knot details, and natural luster—shifting fluidly from light brown to deep chocolate with subtle reddish undertones.

Mounted securely on a solid black timber gallery plinth, the stark contrast of the base anchors the sculpture, allowing its energetic, leaping lines to take center stage in any modern or traditional art collection.
